In June 2022, BAIHP was awarded the Vaccine Equity and Health Disparity funding from Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) to promote vaccine awareness, host a weekly COVID-19 clinic, offer vaccines at BAIHP events, and incentivise those who vaccinate. BAIHP began its VEP campaign in August, and doubled its vaccination rate over January through July. BAIHP offers the Pfizer & Moderna vaccine, including the booster doses to anyone requesting it. BAIHP offers no cost vaccinations and incentives using gift cards from Target. BAIHP offers transportation no cost to patients to and from the clinic or for medical related needs with contracted providers.
