This role is responsible for back office and front office duties. The MA maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performs patient care services that support the physician/ provider’s practice under the clinical supervision of the Physician and Nurse Practitioner. The MA is the first point of customer contact and is responsible for coordinating all patient requests for referrals and authorizations. The Medical Assistant will function within the scope of practice as described by the State of California Board. The Medical Assistant Back Office duties include providing a friendly, compassionate, and efficient environment for patients and providers to ensure the highest level of productivity. The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of duties related to patients’ assessment, treatment, reevaluation, and discharge.
